Only found in combi boilers, the Worcester Diverter Valve Body 87161049190 permits hot water to be routed to either the hot water system (taps, etc.) or the central heating system (radiators, etc.). This characteristic is what sets a combi boiler apart from a standard boiler because it eliminates the need for a cylinder to heat and provide hot water. The diverter valve works the same whether the boiler is a condensing combi or a non-condensing combi. Combination is shortened to “combi,” and there are two types of combi boilers: condensing and standard efficiency.
