The diverter valve section serves as the foundation for this element. One device that is exclusive to combi boilers is the diverter valve. It makes it possible to direct hot water either to the DHW system (taps, etc.) or to the central heating system (radiators, etc.). This function, which allows hot water and heating to be used without a cylinder, is what separates a regular boiler from a combi boiler.
